Food for Life Ethiopia

The Food for Life Project in Ethiopia is a powerful initiative aimed at promoting sustainable agriculture, food security, and environmental stewardship through Scouting. The project empowers young people to take action against hunger and malnutrition while learning practical skills like organic farming, composting, and healthy food practices. A national training was held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, bringing together Scout leaders from all regions of the country. The purpose was to train them as master trainers, so they could return to their respective regions and deliver local trainings to Scouts and volunteers ensuring wide-scale implementation of the project across Ethiopia. Young people will earn the Food for Life badge by participating in these local trainings, starting or supporting community gardens, engaging in awareness campaigns, and contributing to solutions around food sustainability in their communities.
