The 2nd workshop on Folk Theater for ‘Revival of Kashmiri Art through Children’ Project was held at International Youth Hostel Sonamarg Ganderbal from 27th to 29th August 2017. The workshop was part of 8th District Camporee Ganderbal held in Sonamarg, in which 17 students from J&K Sainik School Manasbal, Government Girls Higher Secondary School Ganderbal, Star Land Higher Secondary School Ganderbal and Government Higher Secondary School Mattan, Anantnag took part. The workshop was facilitated by well-known Kashmiri folk theatre artist Gul Mohd Bhagat. In the workshop children learned basics of folk theatre and prepared 2 performances in modern folk theatre and 3 performances in folk music. The enthusiasm of the participants was highly appreciated by the guests, organizers and other participants of the camporee.
