Celebrations of International Day of Peace 2021

The celebration of the International Day of Peace 2021 was organized by The National Headquarter, The Bharat Scouts and Guides, India which started from 19 September 2021 and ended on 21 September 2021 via Zoom. The Theme of this year’s International Day of Peace 2021 is “TELLING A STORY”. On 19th September 2021, the webinar was officially inaugurated and started with the BSG Prayer and lightening of the lamp. We had a plenary session taken by Mr. Syd Castillo on the Earth Tribe which is the new World Scouting program inviting youth members to complete a series of exciting environmental challenges. We also had session taken by Shri Madhusudan A S on Scouts for Sustainable Development Goals and 05 selected projects of SDGs were presented. Many dignataries graced the webinar. On the second day of the webinar which was on 20th September 2021, we had a plenary session on SDG(Sustainable Development Goals) HUB by Mrs. Cynthia Marquez. It was then followed by a quiz which was hosted by Mr. Satyajit and Mrs. Bijaya Deka alsoshared her story of contributing towards the humanity. Mr. Madhusudan A S Sir about the PROMISE TO THE PLANET and asked to pledge for our mother earth and conserve it. On the third day which is on 21st September we had a grand celebration on the INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE 2021. We first had a plenary session taken by Shri S PRASSANNA SHRIVASTAVA on the theme of International Day of Peace which is Telling a Story. The grand celebration of the International Day of Peace started after he completed his session and attened every queries of the participants. The welcome address was presented by the Amar B Chetri Sir and Shri J C Mohanty gave the opening remarks. Shri P G R Sindhia Sir lightened the lamp and inaugurated the Grand Celebration. Many dignitaries graced the webinar. A short message was also presented by Mr. Ahmad Alhendawi Sir and it was so inspiring to hear him. The report of the International Day of Peace across the nation was also shown as well a cultural program was beautifully presented by the IT Team. Everyone in the webinar danced on the MoP Beat Dance Song. The celebration was ended the beautiful vote of thanks by Mrs. Darshana Pawaskar Ma’am. I thoroughly enjoyed the webinar and I want to thank NHQ for giving me the oppurtunity to attend the webinar.
