Bharat Scouts and Guides District Udhampur paid rich tributes to Sir Robert Bedan Powell, on the auspicious occasion of Foundation day Cum Flag Day. The function was organised by District Udhampur Unit in the premises of Bharamrishi Babra Shanti Vidhya Peeth by following Covid-19. Ashok Kumar, Former Commissioner BSG and Director Sports Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board was the Chief Guest and ChinmayJyoti, Chairperson of BBSVP was the special Guest on the occasion. Chief Guest Ashok Kumar hailed the role of the Scouts and Guides in taking forward the mission of Bharat Scouts and Guides. Addressing the contingents,Training Commissioner Bina Sharma said that the mission of scouting is to contribute to the educational development of young minds by instilling a value system in them. Scout Master Amar Dev Singh express his views that Scouting help the youth to imbibe in them discipline so that a better world can be forged. It gives the youth a platform to understand each other and remove the differences of colour, caste, creed, religion and language. Guide Captains Divyangna Dubey, Anuradha Sharma and Priyanka Sharma appealed all the scouts and Guides to contribution to the Annual Flag Day Fund and wished all success in their mission and appealed to all the Scouts and Guides to be good citizens and contribute towards nation building. Scout Master Rakesh Sharma held the stage in the program.Students of KC Gurukul Public School, Amar Deep High School,Prashant Public School, Common Public School, BBSVP etc participate in the Foundation cum Flag day. Sunil Kumar, Amook Sharma, staff of the school and others Dignities also joined the Foundation Day .The program ended by the vote of thanks by Dr Khem Raj.
