Beta launch of TheGoals.org
During the 23rd World Scout Jamboree, the free global education and learning portal on sustainable development solutions TheGoals.org will be launched.
"We have 40 million scouts in the world that we would like to make aware of the UN sustainable development goals, so they are better equipped to become active citizens in their own communities", says Brian Dahlgren, Project Manager at the World Scout Bureau.
TheGoals.org is a unique and free open crowd-learning experience for mobile devices that connects youth from all the corners of the world. The aim is to build understanding and cooperation about the United Nation’s upcoming goals for sustainable development, which will be launched in September 2015.
These goals are all about finding practical solutions to challenges like poverty, hunger, sickness, illiteracy, climate change, and species loss, just to mention a few examples.
