Be Prepared for the Indonesia National Moot 2017

Gerakan Pramuka, the national Scout organization of the Republic of Indonesia, will held the National Moot at Cibubur National Scout Camp, around 30 kilometres east of Jakarta, the capital city of Indonesia. The Moot will be held from 14th to 21st August 2017. Around 10,000 Rovers (16 to 20 years old) and Senior Rover (21 to 25 years old) from the 34 provinces of the country, expected to participate in the Moot. This is the 11th National Moot held by Gerakan Pramuka. The Moot in the national level was held every 5 years. The first one was held at Cimanggis, Bogor Regency, West Java Province, on 1969. Last time, the 10th National Moot was held at Jayapura, Papua Province, on 2012. Since the 4th National Moot was held at Karangkates, Malang Regency, East Java Province, in 1978, Gerakan Pramuka choose the name of the Moot as “Raimuna”. The word came from the language of Ambai Tribe in East Yapen, Yapen Islands Regency in Papua Province, the eastern part of Indonesia. Actually, “Raimuna” is a merged of two words, “Rai’ and “Muna”. Rai" means a group of people who come together to achieve certain goals which set together, and "Muna" meaning power influential forces both in achieving success. When combined, “Raimuna” defined as a group of people gathered with power of influential forces in achieving their goal of success. This spirit which is expected to be produced each time by the Rovers and Senior Rovers gathered in “Raimuna”. Meanwhile, when in the last ten National Moots before, the requirements to participate are only in a good health condition and already in the Rover and Senior Rover section among other, this time the organizing committee give more requirements. The participant should be also a “Pramuka Garuda” or those who already in the Eagle Scout rank. If it will be success, there will be around 10,000 Rovers and Senior Rovers with their proud Eagle rank medals and patches participate in the Moot. While the focus is to get as many as 10,000 Rovers and Senior Rovers from the 34 provinces in the country, the organizing committee also expected some representatives from other National Scout Organization to participate in the Moot. They also must be Rovers and Senior Rovers, and hopefully also already reached the Eagle rank or equivalent in their country (Queen’s Scout, Fuji Scout, Tiger Scout, Pengakap Raja, President Scout, or any similar of the Eagle Scout). Let’s be prepared for the 11th Indonesia National Moot 2017.
