On 14th July, the award giving ceremony was held as a part of the opening ceremony of the Ticket to Life Workshop from 14-16 of July in the state training centre, Ganganagar, W.B. In the same, I was felicitated by the Asia Pacific Region Messengers of Peace Hero Award as the only recipient from India. The workshop was conducted by Shri Shyamal Kumar Biswas, Chief Commissioner(Scouts) and Mr. Amar Chettri( Joint Director of Scouts), Bharat Scouts & Guides. Participants from India and 7 participants from other NSO's(Bangladesh, Bhutan and Nepal) attended the workshop. Mr JRC Panglinan, Regional Director( APR), Mr.Syd Castillo(Director, Education & Programs APR) and Mr.Madhusudan Avala (Ad. International Commissioner, Bharat Scouts & Guides) graced the workshop. It was an experience of a lifetime getting the recognition from the hands of the man himself.
