Job Description Title: Director of Adults in Scouting Location: Responsible to: World Scout Bureau – Interamerica Support Centre Reponsible to: Regional Director of WSB- IASC Responsible for: No current staff Management functions. Internal Relations: Regional Director and other staff of the WSB- IASC. Respective Director of the World Scout Bureau- Global Support Centre, Kuala Lumpur. Relevant staff in other Regional Offices. Members of the Interamerican Scout Committee. Representatives of the National Scout Organizations in the Interamerican Scout Region. External Relations: NGOs and other youth organisations. Professional bodies, consultants and Experts in the fields of Human Resources, Management, Training and Strategy – Management, Development and Evaluation. Main Tasks: Responsible for leading the actions, on Adult Resources, of the Regional Plan. Responsible for implementing or adjusting policies to local situations or environments in conformity to World Scouting Policies on Adults Resources. Analyse the needs and/or support NSOs in the Interamerican Scout Region to analyse their needs in the field of Adults in Scouting. Provide direct support to the NSOs of Interamerican Scout Region in the effective implementation of WOSM World and Regional Adults in Scouting Policies. Monitor trends in youth work regional and globally to support NSOs in Interamerican Region. Research and promote methods of volunteering. Research and promote models of recruitment. Research and promote models of training. Research and promote models of coaching. Prepare reports, newsletters and web-based materials for distribution by various media. Project Management of projects implemented by the WSB- IASC. Work with other staff of the WSB- Global Support Centre and WSB- Inter America Support Centre on implementation of policies and projects. Representation of Scouting at agreed forums and meetings. Identify and share best practices in NSOs and other organisations in relation to the implementation of the World and Regional Adults in Scouting Policies. Supporting the coordination core of the Inter American Adults in Scouting Network. Manage the training and evaluation of professional staff of the WSB-IASC Such other tasks as agreed with and by the Regional Director. Requirements As detailed in the attached Person Specification.
