3rd Eurasia Youth Forum

The 3rd Eurasia Scout Youth Forum took place on the 4-5 October, in Yerevan, Armenia, right before the Eurasia Scout Conference. The theme of the Forum was Intergenerational Dialogue, the same as the theme of the Eurasia Scout Conference. During the two days of the Forum, delegates and observers had the opportunity to engage in many sessions related to Intergenerational Dialogue: hear about how this dialogue is built when drafting National Youth Programs, hear about best practices in Ukraine and Kazakhstan; hear members of other generations how they perceive the development of certain themes sensitive for the scouts. And after hearing, engaging in discussions. There were talks and presentations made about current global youth trends and how intergenerational Dialogue generally functions. Besides being an educational platform, the Forum is also a decision-making event, one that prepares delegates for the Regional Conference. Therefore, the agenda contained approval of rules of procedure, voting practices, discussion and approval of a resolution, and nevertheless the discussion of the youth involvement strategic priority from the 2016-2019 plan, as an exercise to the discussion and vote of the whole strategy and triennial plan to be unpacked at the Conference. Last, but no least important, the Forum elected three Regional Youth Advisors to the Eurasia Scout Committee , that were approved by the Regional Conference: Elena Sermaksheva (Belarus), Aleksandre Kordzadze (Georgia) and Mehrob Qurbonov (Tadjikistan). We wish them best of luck! And we hope that all the youth participating at the Forum will be active in further development of the Eurasia region.
