I hereby invite you to the Education Methods Department’s Trainers Orientation Workshop as follows: First Workshop: Date: Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th January, 2015 Venue: NYSC Orientation Camp, Keffi, Nasarawa State Second Workshop: Date: Friday 6th to Sunday 8th February, 2015 Venue: Oba Akenzua II International Scout Camp, Ogba, Benin City Accommodation & Feeding: While accommodation is free of charge, members may be required to pay token sum of money for rentage of mattresses. Feeding shall be on the basis of Pay-As-You-Eat. Topics of Workshop: 1. Strategies for Achieving the Educational Focus of Scouting 2. Role of Adults in Scouting 3. New International Policy on Youth Development as it affects Scouting Organization 4. Methods of Training and Examination for Efficiency Badge Tests 5. 2015 National Annual Training Programmes Logistics Note that this Orientation Workshop is split into two for the sole purpose of convenience and assurance that every Trainer attends. In order to achieve the desired goals, the Department will not be prepared to accept persons who did not take part in the orientation on any of the National certificating programmes. Trainers concerned are therefore urged to attend either of the venues that are convenient for them for location proximity or time availability. We pray for God Mercy and Blessings to all of us. Efforts are being made to source fund for making workshop materials available but where this is not obtained, participants should be prepared to come along with their own writing materials.
