The 1st World Scout Committee meeting of the new 3-year cycle just finished in the new office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. I am happy to say that youth advisors are being treated as equal partners, being allowed to speak on any topic and to impact things. The general mood in the committee is very good and I am very much looking forward getting to know everybody better as well as working together to implement the new vision of Scouting and make our organisation grow in quantity and quality, with always young people at the center. Finally, I would like to applaud the Steering committee's decision to include a youth advisor among its members and for working so concretely on improving youth participation in the world level of your organisation. Young people have so much to offer that it is inspiring and motivating to be a witness of such change. One more example of how we are indeed trying to create a better world.
