The Bharat Scouts and Guides Alipurduar District Association successfully conducted its 1st District Level Cub and Bulbul Utsav at Divisional Scout Hut from 7th to 9th June 2023. Total 126, including Cubs – 34, Bulbuls – 35, Service Rovers - 8, Service Rangers – 8, Service Unit Leaders & Officials – 32, On 07th June 2023 was started with the Inauguration and Flag Ceremony. On the first day the Cubs and Bulbuls were reported at Divisional Scout Hut at 9:00 AM. After settling them the unit leaders of the Pack and Flocks did the registration and collected the District Scarf and distribute it to all the Cubs and Bulbuls. At 10:00 AM the Flag hoisting ceremony of the camp was conducted at the DRSC ground in the presence of the Hon’ble Shri Rajesh Gupta ADRM of Alipurduar Division, respected District Commissioner (S) / BSG / APDJ & DCM / IC S. Umesh, and other branch officers and district Officials. After the hoisting of the flag, the inauguration ceremony of the Utsav did by the guests with the lighting of the lamp. At 11:30 after the inauguration ceremony, participants took a rest for about 30 minutes with Mango Juice and banana. At 12:00 the Drawing competition of the Utsav started with the theme of "Plastic Free Planet". Day- 2 The evening the practice of the Red Flower/ Kolorob (Grand Camp Fire) started with various dance songs and activities. The Kolorov was started at 6:00 PM the Hon’ble President of NFR-BSG/APDJ & DRM/APDJ Shri. D. K Singh was the present to grace the Utsav with Shri Himansgu Kumar ADEN/HQ, Shri Anchal Kr. Jha DPO/IC. The broadcasting of the entire camp fire was live by the Alipurduar District Association' s official Facebook Page. The Kolorov was ended at 08:00 PM and the participants were left the Camp after taking their Dinner of the day. Day-3, The last day of the Utsav was started with reporting of the participants at 08:00 AM on 09th June 2023. After that the flag hoisting of the Utsav organized at indoor with improvise flag pole at the divisional Scout Hut because the last was full of rain. The All faith Prayer was immediately conducted after the flag hoisting. The cubs and bulbuls then take their breakfast. And on 10:30 AM the Prize distribution ceremony was held where many participants grabbed their awards from district officials. After the vote of thanks and taking the photographs of participants with district officials the Utsav was successfully ended.
