The Eurasia Scout Region was created at the request of the five National Scout Organizations that by the time of taking decision by the World Scout Committee were considered as candidates for membership in the WOSM by: the Armenian National Scout Organization - HASK (now the National Scout Movement of Armenia - HASK), the Belarussian National Scout Association (now – the Belarussian Republican Scout Association - BRSA ), the Georgian Organization of the Scout Movement -”Scouts of Georgia”(GOSM) , the National Organization of Scouts of Moldova (now – the National Scout Association of Moldova - NSAM ) and the Scout Association of Tajikistan (SAT). The creation of the sixth Region of the World Organization of the Scout Movement was approved by the World Scout Committee on 26 April, 1997, so Happy Birthday Eurasia Scout Region!
