Empathy Map

Instructions

Think of someone who is affected by a problem in your community. Imagine the world from their perspective. Discuss: How does the problem affect them? How might they feel? What would they see, hear, touch, smell and taste? What would they think? What would they think and do? Would they have hopes and worries? Draw the outline of this person on a piece of paper. Label your drawing with all of these thoughts and senses, to create a full picture of the person. These could be written or drawings. You can keep this drawing with you throughout the process, as a reminder of who you are trying to help with this solution.
