Zero Waste: Keeping Our City Clean

We were inspired to start this project to create a cleaner, healthier environment for our community. Seeing waste accumulate in important public areas motivated us to take action and raise awareness about responsible waste management and the impact of pollution on health and nature.
We organized as a group of Barguna Jila scouts and volunteers, gathered cleaning tools like gloves, brooms, and trash bags. We focused on key areas such as Machh Bazar Bridge and nearby streets, systematically cleaning waste, spraying water to reduce dust, and properly disposing of garbage. We also engaged local residents to encourage ongoing cleanliness and environmental care.
Through this project, we learned the importance of community effort in maintaining a clean environment. We realized that small, consistent actions can lead to big changes. It also taught us the value of teamwork, responsibility, and raising awareness to inspire others to protect our planet.
