Youth Day 2013 is a gathering of youth at the Colombo Camporee which was held at Science College Mt-Lavinia. It was organized by 75th Colombo District Rover Crew to educate the value of a healthy life to the youth of the Colombo District Scout Association. The Youth Day for the year 2013 was held on 8th December 2013 at the Science College Mt-Lavinia from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm under the theme of "Refrain Unhealthy practices for a healthy life style". 30 participants of boy and girl Scouts participated for the workshop and the guest lectures were from Sri Lanka Medical Association who trained the scouts to be "Health Messengers" in their own communities. The workshop was started with an active activity of a poster competition and took over with the education session on "Effects on fast foods & beverages". Also the scouts were educated on how to modify their life style in to a healthy life style. As it was an initiative of Messenger of Peace, an introduction of Messenger of peace was conducted at the end of the Workshop. The Youth Day 2013 will be continue with the brotherhood of open air and service of 75th Colombo District Rover Crew.
