Youth Advocacy During INTERNATIONAL PEACE DAY

When I see most of the people around the world suffer, I feel very miserable. In fact most of do. The sufferings that we have experienced during our life time have made a great impact to our psychological wellbeing. Our mind have been made full of negative thoughts or the thinking of sinister feelings. So from one of the Nobel truth of lord Buddha, which states that all our suffering comes from desire, celebrating the peace day is extremely important for the inner wellbeing of the people
My project was implemented in Nagor Middle Secondary School, Mongar, Bhutan. During the programme, be worked accordingly to what we have already planed before the programme. We included peace talk and sexual Education and other more important aspect, such as the ways of flourishing inner peace.
My project had more positive impacts. By celebrating the INTERNATIONAL PEACE DAY our youths were able to understand the importance of Sexual education since the number is rapidly rising In our country. They had also known the way of being peaceful, not only by others Influence but by self peace.
From the project I have learned that the youth show less interest In sexual Education since they are not really interested and in contrast, the youths are ashamed of the sexual Education. So to break this stigma, I must work on a different project. I was also able to learn the importance of preparedness, because I wasn't not fully prepared during the public speaking. So next time, I would prepare more.
