The You+Lead course is the new Scouts Australia Leadership Program, which aims to develop the personal and leadership skills of youth. Recognising that to lead effectively a person must develop strong interpersonal skills, confidence and an ability to empower others through delegation, inspiration and motivation. The course was structured around developing emotional intelligence, enabling participants to develop the skills necessary to effectively communicate, build teams and complete goals. The South Australian team held the You Course at Woodhouse on the 30th June - 2nd July 2017 with 14 youth participants and several adult members as presenters and supporters. Our You course was a success, with fantastic feedback from participants and passionate alumni to continue working together on projects.
