YLACC : Better India
My motivation for taking part in the Youth-Led Action on Climate Change (YLACC) project comes from my deep concern for our planet and its future. Climate change is not just an environmental issue — it affects our health, our communities, and our way of life. I believe that even small actions, when taken together, can create a big impact. Through this project, I wanted to raise awareness, inspire others, and take real steps toward protecting our environment.
To execute the YLACC project, I organized an awareness session focused on climate change — its causes, effects, and practical solutions. The session included interactive discussions, visual presentations, and eco-friendly activities that encouraged participants to think about sustainable living. Students took part in role plays, poster-making, and a “Green vs Polluter” activity to understand real-life environmental issues. . .
Through this YLACC project, I learned how important youth participation is in addressing climate change. I gained a deeper understanding of environmental challenges and the need for collective action to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 13 — Climate Action. Conducting the session helped me improve my leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. I also realized that awareness is the first step toward change — when people understand the problem
