World Thinking Day - Sairam Service Initiative
The project was inspired by the values of World Thinking Day, which encourages friendship, service, and global awareness among scouts and guides. We aimed to promote social responsibility, environmental cleanliness, and respect for community workers. This initiative motivated students to actively serve society, spread awareness about sustainable development goals, and strengthen the spirit of unity, kindness, and community engagement.
The project was executed by organizing a series of meaningful activities involving students. They exchanged friendship bands, created a rangoli on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, and performed a skit on stampede awareness. Students also cleaned the Murugan temple premises, distributed rice bags and gloves to sanitation workers, and served lemon juice to the public, promoting service and social responsibility.
Through this project, students learned the importance of teamwork, compassion, and community service. They developed a deeper understanding of social responsibility, respect for sanitation workers, and the value of maintaining clean public spaces. The activities also enhanced leadership, communication, and organizational skills while promoting awareness about safety, sustainability, and the spirit of unity and kindness in society.
