Report on Ozone Day celebration 16th September, 2019.

The World Ozone Day in chali lower secondary school has successfully celebrated on 16th of September 2019, organized by scout on the theme of ‘32nd years and healing’.   To mark the day, the representatives from the various gewog staff and sector heads; HA from health sector, livestock extension officer and gewog  Mangmi (deputy chair person  ) were invited to witness the day. The day was observed with the screening of message on ozone day from Her Majesty Azhi Jutsen Pema Wangchuk.

The ASPNET club coordinator comprehensively explained to the participants on the importance of protecting ozone layer and the harmful effect, if it is depleted. In the awareness programme, the representatives and students were briefed on following topic.

  1. Illustrate functions of ozone layer.
  2. Scientific evidences of ozone layer depletion.
  3. Causes of ozone layer depletion.
  4. Effect of ozone depletion for human and environment.
  5. Montreal potocol.
  6. Actions to proctect ozone layer.

 

As a part of the programme students has show case the skit on depletion of ozone layer and  also participated in poster making competition  on the theme of ‘‘save ozone, save earth‘‘ and finally  the day was concluded with awarding the cash prizes for the winners.
