Western Division Youth Scout Leadership Workshop
This project was inspired by my direct involvement with youth leaders in Scouting and the need for more structured leadership development. Through camps and district activities, I observed that many youth leaders are eager to serve but lack guidance and exposure to areas such as peacebuilding and disaster preparedness. This training was initiated to equip them with practical skills and a clearer understanding of their role in Scouting and the community.
The project was carried out through careful planning and coordination with Scout leaders and partner organizations. A structured one-day training programme was developed, with clear sessions and assigned responsibilities. Logistical arrangements were organized in advance, and the training was delivered through interactive sessions and discussions, ensuring active youth participation and smooth implementation.
This project highlighted the importance of good planning, teamwork, and interactive learning. I learned that youth leaders are highly motivated and perform best when given guidance and practical opportunities to lead.
