Wesak Day Parade 2019 Service
Wesak Day is a chinese traditional celebration which is held annually. As so, the Buddhist community in Penang will hold a parade annually to celebrate Wesak Day. In order to protect our culture, I've decided to join the parade as a helper.
Firstly, we arrived at Chung Ling Private High School to take attendance. We waited for our transport to arrive in order to arrive there. After that, we got on the transport and went to Burma Road. Firstly, our job was to clean the surrounding of the hall. After that, we get to enjoy our dinner supplied by the organisers. We then followed the parade and helped to ensure the parade wasn't being destroyed by the people surrounding. We then walked for 3 hours with the parade.
Around 300 people has been benefited from our service as the parade was held successfully. The Chinese may celebrate Wesak Day together happily.
I've learned about the importance of protecting our culture from being destroyed. Besides, I've had a great time with my friends.
