Webinar on the Life of St. Dominic Savio: A Scout's Example

CEBU, PHILIPPINES - The Boy Scouts of the Philippines - Cebu Council Catholic Committee conducted a webinar last May 6 2021 on the Life of St. Dominic Savio.

The webinar tackles about the life and example of St. Dominic Savio in relation to lviving life as a Boy Scout. The Webinar was participated by 65 Scouts and Adult Leaders from Cebu Council of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines. Mr. Richard TaƱada, a Salesian lay leader, was the resource speaker of the event. The event talked about the life of St. Dominic Savio and how his virtues should be imitated by Scouts of all faiths.

St. Dominic Savio is the Patron Saint of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines. Just like St. George, the Patron Saint of Scouting, Savio lived a life of courage, love, and peace. His example of showing piety, obedience, kindness, and love is what Scouts should imitate as an example.

The Catholic Church celebrates the feast of St. Dominic Savio every May 6.
