Afghan Scouts today in a community service program in Kabul city distributed winter clothes for more than 130 drug addicts who have no shelter in this cold weather. The growing drug problem is Kabul is horrible and people are concerned because there is so little help available for the addicts, many of whom became addicted as children or by force at the hands of employers wanting them to work harder. It wasn't easy for our Scouts to face this issue head on today, but they are doing their best and we are very proud of them for giving back to a group in the community who is often overlooked or shunned.
