Waste reduction
My main purpose to conduct this cleaning campaign was to glorify my community and to contribute to a safer environment for plants and animals to thrive since the increasing number of plastics usually prevented the growth of plants. As a contributing members we had to do our best to cease global warming.
On August 31st to 1st September, we executed our plan and started cleaning from our school junction till Gatshelling Lhakhang a distance of about 1.5km. The cleaning campaign went well, we made sure that no waste was left unnoticed and at the end it started raining by then we had already finished and later had a photo session with the participants. We also segregated the waste and gave it for recycling to the monks so it would benefit the Lhakhang.
When people think of during community service they think of doing big but l learnt that even a small contribution towards the community counts and it makes a difference.
