From 15th to 21st April, I and my scout members participated in conducting cleaning campaigns during the Melamchenmo at Namdroling Gonpa, Autsho. The 5 day long Melamchenmo was orginaized my Dzongkhag. From every morning to late evening we participated in cleaning the surrounding, in and around the Gonpa and controlled the crowd during the day time. We also participated in serving meals to the public since there was shortage of human resource. Our members also worked to help elderly people and maintained the toilet neat and clean for 24 hours. Students also helped in the kitchen with chopping of vegetables, washing dishes and vegetables. Every evening we did mass cleaning inside the Altar, Choekhang and around the zhimchung of His Holiness the Je-Khenpo, Drashap and the places where people were seated during the program.
