Volunteerism at Dongkhag Tshechhu

The volunteering initiative was a success, contributing to the smooth execution of the Tshechhu. Our team is grateful for the opportunity to serve and looks forward to future community engagements

Our team of five volunteers actively supported the Dzongkhag Tshechhu by assisting in various areas such as managing crowd movement at key areas to maintain order and assist attendees, regular cleaning and maintaining public toilets to ensure hygien, conducting waste management and post-event clean-up to keep the festival grounds clean.

The project had a positive impact on both the event and the community. It helped maintain cleanliness, improved crowd control, and created a more organized and pleasant environment for visitors. Our efforts also raised awareness about the importance of hygiene and responsible waste disposal. Overall, it showed how volunteering can make a meaningful difference in preserving cultural events while promoting community well-being.

Through my volunteering at the Dzongkhag Tshechhu, I learned the importance of collaboration, responsibility, and community service in ensuring a successful and well-organized festival.Through strong synergy, our efforts significantly supported the beneficiaries, especially the RBP and Desuups. By regularly cleaning toilets and carrying out cleaning campaigns every few hours, we helped maintain hygiene within and around the Dzong. Our coordination also made it easier to manage crowd movement effectively. Overall, our teamwork reduced the workload of the officials and contributed to a cleaner, safer, and more organized Tshechhu for everyone.
