Volunteer service in Begana
The scout leaders who lead the project shared how we can bring a change with a simple act. That inspired me to take up this project and make a change.
23 October 2021 - Began, Thimphu : Scouts gathered near Changlimithang stadium exactly around 7 in the morning. There were total of 250 scouts along with some adults and Dessung. Upon reaching Begana, everyone engaged themselves in renovating the ancient monument. Though they were tired they didn't give up until they could see some changes in the monument. They stayed till 8 pm helping the renovation process. When it was night time everyone enjoyed near the camp fire.
Through this project, the youths learned the value of their culture along with their identity. They also gained team work spirit and learned the value of patience.
Teamwork teamwork along with self development were successfully achieved.
