On behalf of Rotary club Udupi and Bharat Scouts and Guides District Association Udupi, Karnataka India.  We celebrated Vanamahotsava in our district scouts and guides office kadiyali Udupi on 22nd July  2018 with rotary members and along with scouts and guides of Udupi district association we held plantation program and gladly thanks to all the participants of this Vanamahotsava programme.

Planting helps spread awareness about the harm caused by the cutting down of trees, and it is expected that every citizen of India will plant a sapling in the Van Mahotsav week. 
Vanamahotsava Celebrated by Tree Planting at EVRY India. ... So “Vanamahotsava” literally means “the festival of forests”. It spreads the awareness of tree plantation among people and stresses the importance of trees to reduce the bad effects of global warming and pollution.
Trees clean the air. Trees absorb odors and pollutant gases (nitrogen oxides, ammonia, sulfur dioxide and ozone) and filter particulates out of the air by trapping them on their leaves and bark.
