Uganda Scouts donate water filters to communities to improve water safety.

As a way to advocate for better health Scout's in Uganda together with kabaka foundation water filters to slum areas in Kampala. With more water filters donated, many more Ugandans will enjoy the right to access of clean & safe drinking water. Uganda has experienced two decades of economic growth, leading to large population movements from rural areas to informal settlements (Slums) around urban centers. High population growth – nearly triple the global average – stressed the water and sanitation services that exist. 61 percent of Ugandans lack access to safe water and 75 percent do not have access to improved sanitation facilities.
