Scouts turned over to our Institutional Head, Mrs. Reena L. Chavez four (4) boxes of supplementary reading books (story books, pocket books, picture books, etc...) for ages 6 to 15 as part of different items to be donated to different orphanages in Metro Manila this month of July. The books were collected from the months of January to July from discarded library books that were about to be sold as scrap/junk. The Scouts collected and then sorted the books that may be still be usable. Some books were donated by the Scouts from their private library. We did this project because we believe in the saying "One man's junk is another man's treasure". We hope the children who will receive them will enjoy reading and sharing the books.
