Tsirang youths being active in waste management.
'Recycle each and everyday instead of throwing papers and plastics away’. My first inspiration is my KING. As his majesty always use to say that (it’s not that youths cannot do, its the youths mindset whether they are trying it or not) so, consuming less means throwing away less when reusing things actually helps to save the planet as well as the pennies. Keeping this concept makes me more inspiring throughout my life.
Our project was implemented at Damphu, Tsirang. There was around 13 Participants who take part of it. We were divided into three groups dividing ourselves in different area. (Town core area including vegetable markets, 360’ tracking path and recreational areas.)
We the scouts with collaboration with Tsirang Dzongkhag Administration, Environment officer did away with this project. More than 20 vegetables seller and dzongkhag municipal corporation were benefited with our projects. The impact was firstly, we youths can feel the gratitude to his majesty(gyalpoi Thukden drup) secondly, It is time consuming where every individual can take a break upon picking the waste. Lastly, we helped our Dzongkhag or Community to build more green environment.
Through this project I get to know that small acts on waste management when multiplied by millions of people can transform the environment at Zero level. Bring up more waste campaign and advocacy programmes can make it more worth or better one ahead.
