Trees for Life

I visited my friend, he planted many trees. It was beautiful. I loved the environment around his home, on top, when ha had fee problem, he sold some matured trees and raised more than Ksh 50000 and paid for his children school fee. I'm a ware of the importance of planting trees, and this really motivated me. I always love seeing green environment. We get rain because of the trees and many factories operate because of the trees.
The project is done in Western Kenya, Homabay County, Homabay Sub county in Central Ward, Kalanya Kanyango sub location. Together with my colleagues we collected seedlings that fell and put together. We took good care, watering and treating the seedlings. They had good life and we ended up with a good number of seedlings. We were able to plant and because it was many, we have to community members, institutions, churches, schools and hospital and followed on the Care.
We're going to have a beautiful environment, rains will be there in plenty, ozone layer taken care of and we'll be having easy time during construction of our houses. Commercially, it will be use as a source of income to many. As we're unable to give all enough seedlings, people have started acquiring seeds on there own to plant. Many are motivated and a good number are now planting trees. It's creating job opportunities for some already, selling the seedlings. A good initiative it is
Big lesson learned. It's sustainable It's commercial It creates job opportunity It helps conserve the environment This project can be made better by advocating to the communities to plant trees, organize trainings with experts on the very best way of planting and taking care of the trees, making seedlings available to the community members, explaining the importance of trees to our community, society, campaigns on environment conservation
