Tree plantation for Climate and Nature

To build a climate-resilient and greener community, we planted palmyra (tal) palm trees. These palms act as natural windbreaks, store carbon, offer shade and fruit, and enrich local biodiversity. The activity empowers Rover Scouts and residents to safeguard nature and advance SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 15 (Life on Land)."

This activity was organized by Bangladesh Scouts Rover Region in Cumilla District with participation from both Cumilla and Dhaka District Rovers. I, Robiul Hasan Rifat, Senior Rover Mate of Govt. Ispahani Degree College, joined as the sole representative from my group. We planted palmyra trees in a storm-prone area and completed the activity through teamwork and guidance from the Rover Region."

Learned that coordinated teamwork leads to better environmental protection results. Gained valuable experience in teamwork and collaboration. Identified the need to increase community participation through more awareness campaigns. Faced some logistical challenges during implementation, which can be improved with better planning next time.
