Traffic Support: Ensuring Road Safety
We were inspired to start this project because on August 5, 2024, when the police were unable to perform their traffic duties, we saw the need to step in and help maintain road safety and order in Barguna. Our goal was to support the community and ensure smooth and safe traffic flow.
We organized over 30 Rover Scouts from different points in Barguna to take responsibility for managing traffic. We coordinated our efforts to direct vehicles, assist pedestrians, and maintain safety at busy intersections, ensuring a smooth flow of traffic throughout the day.
Through this project, we learned the importance of community service and teamwork in ensuring public safety. We realized how taking initiative during emergencies can make a positive impact and that leadership and coordination are key to managing challenges effectively.
