As we are the scout group "İZDOS", from İzmir, TURKEY; We had a trip to town, Tire with 60 participant. During our visit; We first went to "Kaplan Village". It takes place on highest point of Tire. So, we had a smal natural walk under slow rain, we had a chance to see some local plants such as chestnut, walnut,..etc. Then we continued with Derekahve, Ayazma. Ayazma is a religious place where there is a church and mosque together by the river. It is the "SYMBOL OF PEACE", isn't it? people can live together for long times and prays together ina single building ... The lunch time... also the famous traditional "Tire meatball" time... After lunch, we had a spesific visit to an old, traditional workshop of " HANDICRAFT OF FELT". Craftsman is working his craftman also, his father. And his father had learned from his craftsman, his father..... It is full of labor. Better felt can be get from lamb's first shearing. after gettin felt, there is a day -long process. the felt is beaten by 3-4 people during 1 hour min. there are several figures such as "acem, yarım acem, gül, göbek, sarma, sandık,..." By the end of the trip, we had visited historical Necip Paşa Library from 1827, Tomb of İbn-i Melek - head judge of Aydınoğulları and Tomb of the son of Aydınoğlu Mehmet Bey - Süleyman Şah from 1349.
