Traditional footpath for safety
For the safety and well-being of the students, the issue was raised by the student leaders after observing the challenges and risks faced by students in their daily activities. We recognized that addressing this issue could bring many advantages to our students and create a safer and more supportive school environment. The initiative would not only help reduce potential risks and accidents but also make students feel more secure and comfortable while carrying out their daily responsibilities.
We believe that ensuring student safety is an important responsibility of both the school and the students themselves. By identifying the issue and taking appropriate action, we hope to create greater awareness among students and encourage them to follow safe practices. This initiative will also help develop a stronger sense of responsibility, cooperation, and leadership among the students.
Overall, we see many benefits from addressing this issue, particularly in improving student safety, creating a positive learning environment, and promoting a culture where students look after one another and actively contribute to the well-being of the school community. :::
The idea for maintaining the school footpath was generated during the Code of Honour session, where students discussed different issues affecting their safety and well-being. After identifying the condition of the footpath as an important concern, the student leaders proposed the idea to the school administration and requested their support and approval to carry out the activity. The school administration supported our initiative, and after discussion, we fixed 18 April 2026 as the date for the activity.
On the scheduled day, we divided ourselves into two groups so that the work could be carried out efficiently and within a shorter period of time. Both groups worked together to maintain and improve the footpath by clearing overgrown vegetation, removing obstacles, and making the walking path safer and more accessible for students and other members of the school community.
The activity was carried out with the main objective of improving student safety. A well-maintained footpath will make it easier and safer for students to walk between different areas of the school and reduce the possibility of students slipping, falling, or getting injured. It will also help prevent students from having to walk through unsafe or difficult areas.
Through this activity, we not only improved the condition of the footpath but also developed important values such as teamwork, cooperation, responsibility, leadership, and community service. We believe that this small initiative can make a meaningful difference in the daily lives of students by providing them with a safer environment to walk and move around the school.
