We always face a lot of plastics that are dumped on the beautiful beaches of Maldives islands. Especially when we take our kids to beach during weekends we have been facing this issue. It is sad that our kids sometimes have observed some inappropriate behaviors from adults or the parents who use beaches with their own kids. It’s quite common to throw away the empty juice packets, bottles and even the diapers just under their feet when they were with kids. So, we started explaining these issues to our kids when we go to beach always. Sometimes I collected plastics with kids and put them in the dustbins. As usual, today again we went to beach with family. As we were getting ready to go I saw my daughter, Insha with her two cousins, Mishka and Mihdha collecting all the plastics that have been thrown away over that area. I’m so proud of them and In Sha Allah they will continue to be responsible kids to motivate others to keep the beach clean !
