Theory briefing for the Scouts Go Solar Project (SGS).

This talk programme took place on the 7th and 8th of May, with 20 attendees and 4 speakers given the initial information on how to run the SGS project. This talk held on the virtual medium which is using a Google Meet platform. Collaboration with Kumpulan Latihan Kelanasiswa Malaysia (KLKM), Malaysia's district scout association and Kumpulan Latihan Kelanasiswa Malaysia (UTHM) helped us gain a better understanding of the SGS project . These theory talks consist of theme 1 until theme 4, which must be mandatory to the scout members who want to join in completing the SGS project in the future. 

Day 1: 7 May 2021

Theme 1:  Sun is Life (Pn. Alnor Binti Ahmad Nasir)

This theme is an introduction to the sun, solar energy and how they are related to our lives.

Theme 2: Impacts of the sun on health and the environment (En. Zahiran Hamzah)

This theme is about the possible risks coming from the sun and how we can deal with the impacts of the sun on the health and environment.

Day 2: 8 May 2021

Theme 3: Use of solar energy (Pn. Hasnina Binti Haji Abd Rahman)

This is about the technologies that can be applied to harness the energy from the sun

Theme 4: Go Solar ( Assoc. Prof Ts. Dr. Hj Mustaffa Bin Haji Ibrahim)

Given an input on how each and everyone can use solar energy and be an example for others as well as the possibilities for whole communities to use solar energy.

The objective of this briefing is to ensure that all scout participants are prepared to manage the SGS project and follow the defined guidelines. On the 8th of May 2021, at 1.00 p.m., the talks came to a close.
