Although built ten years ago, unfortunately the facility was not provided with any medical equipment or supplies. FH Canada, part of the global Food for the Hungry Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to ending poverty and achieving sustainability, teamed up with Scouts in Canada and Doi Chaang Coffee Foundation to send this container to Ban Doi Chang.  The container is pictured being loaded in Saskatoon, Canada. Arriving in early July, 2013, the medical container will bring over 230 pieces of equipment and supplies required to enhance the facility’s available medical services. The health centre will receive dental equipment & supplies, an ultrasound machine, fetal monitor, maternity and delivery beds for neonatal and childbirth care as well general hospitals items such as beds, gurneys, operating table, blankets, gowns, wheelchairs, instrument kits and scrub sets for individuals requiring general or in-patient hospital visits.
