“Sweeping Away Samsara: A Clean Path to Enlightenment”

I love nature and am passionate about serving and protecting Mother Earth. Since this is my first volunteering experience, it is also an opportunity for me to learn the importance of serving my nation and contributing positively to my community.

All LT leaders, participants, and adult leaders gathered at Pemathang Chorten in Gelephu to carry out the cleaning activity. We divided ourselves into two groups, with one group cleaning the inside of the Chorten and the other working outside.

We removed dead bushes, swept the area, collected litter, and pulled out weeds. Through teamwork and cooperation, we helped make the Chorten cleaner and more welcoming for visitors and the community.

I realised that even small actions can make a big difference. If we had not cleaned the Chorten, it would still have been messy. That day, my fear of not being a good enough Scout gradually faded as I realised that I could help lead others and make a positive difference in my community.
