SWACHH SIKKIM SWACHH BHARAT – The Sanitation Campaign… Swachh Sikkim Swachh Bharat –the Sanitation Campaign was organized by the Sikkim State Bharat Scouts & Guides during its Sixth State Rally on 7th January, 2015 at Majhitar , Rangpo, East Sikkim. At the very outset LOE Highlighted the importance of community service to be undertaken in the scouting Movement in the context of the Swachh Sikkim Swachh Bharat. Followed by the flag off by State commissioner (G). Scouts & Guides of the Rally took out from the camp which was held at Himalayan Home Khani Khola for the Cleanliness Drivefrom the camp side to the main gate of Sikkim Manipal University which is more than 1.5 kms distance. All the scouts and guides took active participation to make the projected area neat and clean by taking all the wrappers, garbage along with the brooming in the street. They were accompanied by the unit Leaders and Event staff. There were 171 scouts and guides and 6 unit leaders and 5 event staffs who were worked for 2.5 hrs. Programme was concluded by Vote of thanks by the LOE.
