As part of our Scouting activity, we conducted an HIV/AIDS awareness programme for six months from 1-8-2016 to 31-1-2017 at CSM Nagar, Edapazhinji, Thiruvananthapuram. Prior to starting the programme, we have met the DMO and State AIDS Control Society officials to collect pamphlets and to prepare a questionnare for a survey. In the survey, it was found that majority of the residents are aware about the diseases. However, our campaign brings in more people aware about AIDS/HIV and mode of precautions to be taken to avoid the disease.
