Summer Camp for Scouts
It was summer break for the students, I actually provide scouts to experience camping, hiking and raffling adventures as youth engagement program. Aside from above activities SDGs were sessions planned for scouts.
The project was for three days for Nachung scouts and Nazhoen scouts of Tangmachu Central Schoool, Lhuentse Bhutan. Aside camping, hiking and raffling adventures as youth engagement program, SDGs were incorporated as sessions: Gender equalities, good health and wellbeing, reduce inequalities, responsible consumption and production, peace justice strong institution and gender based violence. A total of 100 scouts and 10 facilitators took part in the program.
The impacts of the program:
1. made scouts aware of SDGs
2. team building
3. respecting gender
4. learning through fun
5. scouts could experience adventure lives
Project learnings:
1. Working in a team makes a task easier and comfortable
2. Setting up camp and tent pitching
3. Culinary skills
4. Learn songs and dances
5. Never give up
