Spiritual service at 18th Lhuentse Monlam Chenmo
Right after the Dorji Trengwa empowerment/Wanglung by his holiness the 70th J Khenpo, a three day monlam chenmo was to be continued and conducted along with the last day being solely for public blessing (wang) by the J Khenpo. The dzongkhag administration announced holidays for the monlam chenmo to all institutions. Taking it as an sacred opportunity, I continued to volunteer and to serve with devotion for the last four days of monlam chenmo as the Wanglung concluded successfully
As the 18th Dzongkhag Monlam Chenmo commenced,I coordinated & encouraged leader scouts in Lhuentse in volunteering for the final 4 days of monlam chenmo. With strong unity among Desuups, scouts & volunteers,we served with full devotion. Tasks carried out were; •Serving three daily meals, tea & refreshments (including preparation, loading & unloading) •Dishwashing, cleaning & waste management •Crowd management & control(especially on the final day where the public wang was bestowed by the J khenpo)
• Unity and working as a team • Service becomes more meaningful when it meets blessings • Importance of patience and humility while working • Discipline and responsibility; taking leadership
