shelter of serenity- Building a home for the Nuns
I was motivated to take up this project by the desire to support the nuns with a safe and comfortable place to live, as they dedicate their lives to spirituality, service, and community well-being.
To execute it, I mobilized resources through community support, coordinated with volunteers, and ensured that every step of the construction reflected compassion and collective effort. Every weekends for 9 months, 35 volunteers from Paro college went to Jabto Goenpa to help with the construction of the hostels for the nuns.
I learned that when people come together with a shared purpose, even a big project like building a hostel can become achievable.
