I want to tell you my story and I really hope it will be useful for you and it will inspire you. All my life I have been an active person. I always interested and tried to do more and more for people around me. In 2012 I discovered about Scout movement, decided that it fits me totally with all values and interesting lifestyle. From that moment my life changed totally. I drowned in this world very deeply. In 2014 I took part In training about “Messengers of Peace” initiative and it opened my eyes for many things. I understood that it is my field of work, that it is amazing instrument to inspire people to care about world, to invite them in Scout movement. It is a great opportunity to structure and understand all good deeds and projects. The network and sharing in scout.org it is like a huge bank of great ideas that you can have for free if you don’t know what you can do to change the world. It is amazing rescore of inspiration and motivation. And in the same time it is place which makes you closer to the world. The place, which makes you understand how many people in the world are doing the same and making a change. From that moment I decided for myself that I have to share information about this initiative and this platform. And also I am very motivated to inspire people to do at least anything for their own lives, for local community and for world in general. I want to help young people to understand their opportunities and show them big world which they can improve working together. I want to show to the people that every person can have good life just when people around are happy. You will not be happy with all benefits in the world if around you will be poor, thick, angry, lonely people. So I started to speak about this, I started to do more local project with my scout group, with national team and share them. I started to speak about “Messengers of Peace” initiative in every corner) (really). I shared with my scout and non-scout friends, I didn’t miss any event for Scouts in my city and in Ukraine in general to share about this. I made presentations in many schools, universities, meetings for teachers, events for children and adults and networking meeting for non-government organizations. I even spend one year abroad (in Greece) doing volunteering service with refugees and spoke with people there about Scouting and “Messengers of Peace”. I explained about MoP network, showed a lot of projects and stories about Scouts all around the world trying to show to the people that it is very easy to do small step by yourself and invite more and more people to join it. I can not count how much promotion I did and with how many people I spoke. It is very difficult to evaluate results of my work, but if I inspired at least one person to start changes I feel proud and happy! I am not going to stop, now I am looking for new options how to involve people to be active citizens. Few days ago I finished education from one of our partners “British Council” and became facilitator of “Active Citizens” program and I hope to give and show people more opportunities to teach them to do small and, maybe, big projects, not to be afraid and believe in success. So I am on my way and with many friends around. We are going to make a change!
