Seychelles Scouts Go Solar
The project is a follow up of the Regional Scout Go Solar training that was held at the Savelberg Retreat Centre in Nairobi, Kenya from the 5th March to 12th March 2023.The project is an environmental partnership between World Organization of the Scout Movement- WOSM, Green Peace and SolaAfrica a Swiss NGO. Its aim is to raise awareness about climate change and sustainable solution to be carried out by scouts.

Sensitization of the public Workshop on the use of photovoltaic equipments. Visit to the solar farm on Ile de Romainville which is the only solar farm in the country that generates renewable energy.
Over 100 scouts benefited from the project through trainings and exposure to solar energy use. This have had positive impact on the Seychellois community of over 100,000 people, encouraging all citizens to make good use of solar as a readily available energy.
