SEX EDUCATION FOR ADOLESCENTS PROJECT

Children and adolescents need accurate and comprehensive education about sexuality to practice healthy sexual behavior as adults. Early, exploitative, or risky sexual activity may lead to health and social problems, such as unintended pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections. This project explores and reviews the role of the community and guardians(Scout leaders) in providing sexuality education to children, adolescents and all young people and their families.
The project design target National level, it was executed in such a way that it targeted all the Scouts and young leaders at National level and this resulted in the development of Safe Sex adolescent handbook that young people should use as they address the challenges that come with their sexuality and health well being
The project benefited 150 young and adults in most of the communities, and there is an overwhelming response as young people have been attending the sessions and use of the handbook as they meet for Scout activities. most young people are will to join the movement form the project engagement and parents are responsive and supporting to their children in all the Scout Activity as the result of this project
The project has the potential to grow and reach out to many communities and there is a need to scale it up to make it better it has to accommodate all segments of the Society. All young people should access the Scout activities through the Project, which is vital to their upbringing as reliable global citizens with good morals
